Develop your financial know-how
Personal finance practices are constantly evolving. People returning home after long-term incarceration are often unprepared for the drastic changes in financial products and services. Moreover, there is a dearth of preparation around credit provided to individuals coming home. This leaves many community members with outdated knowledge regarding the function of credit and why it is important in our society today. To address this problem, we created the in-prison education program.
What is the in-prison education program?
The program is an 8-module correspondence course to prepare incarcerated community members for navigating credit barriers, accessing credit reports and information, and establishing credit history.
Who is eligible?
The program currently operates for individuals incarcerated who have a family or friend who will participate with them.
